SALON POLICIES

Welcome to Blushed Salon. We look forward to your visit. Please review our salon policies below. These policies are in place to ensure a smooth experience for all clients and apply to every appointment. By booking with us, you agree to these terms.

BOOKING FEE POLICY
To ensure every Guest gets the dedicated time and attention they deserve, we require a booking fee to secure your appointment. This fee is not an extra charge; it is a pre-payment that is applied toward the cost of your service on the day of your appointment.

  • A standard $50 booking fee is required for all salon services over $80
  • A $100+ booking fee applies to hair extension and bridal bookings
  • You may pre-pay your booking fee for each appointment OR have a $50 salon file credit that rolls over each time
  • Booking fees are fully refundable if you cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment
  • Booking fees are non-refundable for cancellations made within 24 hours
  • No-shows will result in the forfeiture of the booking fee to compensate our staff for the reserved time​

This policy helps us honour the time we set aside for you and allows us to continue providing the exceptional care and expertise you expect from us. We appreciate your understanding.

CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that sometimes life gets busy for our Guests, but to protect our small business and ensure that we can continue to provide a high-quality service, we have a firm cancellation policy.

  • We require at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment
  • To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call us on 02 5611 5204. If you prefer to communicate via email, you can reach us at [email protected]
  • We do not accept Facebook or Instagram (social media) messages to cancel or reschedule an appointment
  • Cancellations or reschedules made outside of these timeframes will forfeit the booking fee as outlined above

LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION AND NO SHOW POLICY
A last-minute cancellation is any cancellation made within 24 hours of your appointment. We understand that unexpected things happen. Therefore, your first two last-minute cancellations or no-shows will be considered warnings (our booking fee policy still applies). However, after a third last-minute cancellation or no-show, we will require a 100% deposit to secure any future bookings.

LATE POLICY
If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to provide the
service for which you have been scheduled. We may need to reschedule your appointment,
and the last-minute cancellation & no-show policy will apply.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE
Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you are not completely happy with your service, please contact us within 5 days of your original appointment so we can find a solution. COLOUR CORRECTIONS POLICY
For all colour services, the final result is best evaluated on fully dried and styled hair. If you choose to leave the salon before your service is completed (for example, if you decline toning or styling), you release Blushed Salon from any obligation to offer a refund or a complimentary correction for that service.

PRODUCT RETURN POLICY
We want to make sure that you are 100% satisfied with the products purchased at Blushed salon. If you are unhappy with  a product, return the product within 7 days of purchase and with at least 75% full, for a full refund or exchange.

We do not cover shipping costs in this instance. If you wish to ship the product back to us, the shipping costs will be at your discretion.

CHILDREN AT THE SALON POLICY
We welcome children at our salon, however, our stylists work with sharp objects, hot tools, and
chemicals. We ask that you closely supervise your children and do not leave them unattended
at any time during your visit to ensure their safety and that of our staff.

GIFT VOUCHER POLICY
Gift vouchers are valid for 36 months from the date of purchase. The expiration date is printed on the certificate. Please note, special offer or donated vouchers may have different terms, which will be specified on the voucher itself.

Redemption:
  • Please let us know you'll be using a gift voucher when you book your appointment.
  • Vouchers are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen vouchers.

COMPETITION AND PRIZE POLICY
Prizes and services are as advertised. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The prize is for the winner only and cannot be split among multiple people.

The winner must accept the prize within one month of the date it was drawn. We reserve the right to cancel or modify prize inclusions at any time, without prior notice.

​BRIDAL AND FORMAL POLICIES
 
DEPOSIT AND RETAINER
To secure your wedding or formal event date, we require a non-refundable retainer of 25% of the total invoice or a minimum of $250, whichever is greater. Your event date is not confirmed until this retainer has been paid and you have received a written confirmation from us via email.

PAYMENT FOR SERVICES
The retainer fee will be deducted from your final balance. Full payment for all services is required before we begin.

CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING POLICY FOR WEDDINGS AND EVENTS
We understand that plans can change. Please take a moment to review our policies regarding cancellations and changes to your booking.

Cancellation Policy
  • 16 Weeks or More: If you cancel your event with more than 16 weeks' notice, you will receive a 50% refund of your retainer.
  • Less than 12 Weeks: The full retainer is non-refundable for any cancellations made less than 12 weeks before your event date.

Booking Changes
Once your retainer is paid and the booking is confirmed, we cannot accommodate a reduction in the number of services. You are welcome to increase the number of services at any time, subject to availability. Please note that we are unable to accept any changes to a booking less than eight weeks before your event date.

Rescheduling Your Event
If you need to reschedule your event, we will do our best to accommodate your new date, provided you give us at least 12 weeks' notice. If you give less than eight weeks' notice, we cannot guarantee a new booking date. In this case, you may be required to pay a new retainer if the original was forfeited due to the timing of the reschedule. By paying your retainer, you agree to all the terms and conditions outlined above.

Travel Costs
Blushed salon may charge a travel fee if we are required to travel over 20 kilometres return, from our base. This fee is charged at our discretion. Travel fees start from a flat rate of $50 - $150 return. You will be notified of the final travel cost amount on date confirmation.

Public Holidays and before 7am starts
An additional charge of $100 will be charged for all public holiday services, Sundays and before 7am starts. This fee is our discretion.

Minimum booking amount
The minimum booking amount of mobile bridal services is $250.00.

Package Inclusions
Package deals are not able to be split between other parties. They are an ‘As Is’ deal, and a deposit must be paid at time of date confirmation.

We are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact and operating our business in a way that is mindful and sustainable. We are constantly seeking out new ways to be a greener salon, and we invite you to join us on this journey.

Our green policy focuses on three key areas: Reducing Waste, Conserving Resources, and Sourcing Responsibly.

1. Reducing Waste
  • Salon Waste Recycling: We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and are continuously working to improve our recycling efforts. We actively recycle salon materials to the best of our ability, and we are always looking for new ways to make our salon a greener, more sustainable space.
  • Minimising Single-Use Items: We are committed to reducing our use of single-use plastics and disposables wherever possible and have a rigorous recycling program for product packaging.
  • Chemical Disposal: All of our chemical waste, including leftover hair colour, is collected and processed responsibly to prevent it from entering our waterways.

2. Conserving Resources
  • Water Conservation: We use water-saving eco showerheads at our basins, which significantly reduces our water consumption without compromising your experience. We also only run our washing machine with full loads to conserve water and energy.
  • Energy Efficiency: We have switched to energy-efficient lighting throughout the salon. We are mindful of our energy usage and ensure all equipment and lights are turned off when not in use.
  • Going Paperless: We have transitioned to a digital booking system and email receipts to minimise our use of paper.

3. Sourcing Responsibly

  • Eco-Friendly Products: We are proud to stock and use products from brands that share our commitment to sustainability. We prioritize products that are cruelty-free, have natural ingredients, and use recyclable or refillable packaging.
  • Sustainable Partnerships: We carefully choose our suppliers and partners based on their ethical and environmental practices, ensuring our supply chain reflects our values.

Informed Consent & Liability Waiver

By receiving a service from Blushed Salon, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk: You voluntarily consent to the treatments administered by our professionals and understand that all services are performed at your own risk. You agree to hold Blushed Salon and its staff harmless from any injury or damage that may occur.

2. Medical Conditions: If you have any medical conditions, you should consult with a physician before receiving a service. Our treatments are not a replacement for medical or surgical procedures.

3. No Guarantees: We make no guarantees, express or implied, regarding the results of any treatment. Every client's outcome may vary.

4. Limitation of Liability: You agree that Blushed Salon is not liable for any injury, damage, or claims arising from your use of our facilities or services.
