TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT

BOOKINGS
EXISITING CLIENTSTo book an appointment at Intuition, please follow our booking link, call the salon on 49422177 or send us a message via Facebook or Instagram.
Not sure what you’d like to have done? Book in for a complimentary consultation with one of our amazing stylists so we can see your hair in person, give you a quote and ensure your appointment time is booked correctly.
NEW CLIENTSYes, we do welcome beautiful new faces to our space but as a part of our booking policy we do require a non-refundable deposit of $50 to secure your spot. This amount does come off your total bill on the day and once you have booked an email will be sent with information regarding this. Unfortunately, if your deposit isn’t received within 24hrs your appointment will be cancelled.
HAIR EXTENSIONSIf you are booking in for Hair Extensions, you will need to book a complimentary consultation first so we can colour match you before ordering the hair. We require a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure your booking. The cost of the deposit will be advised upon consultation. Your appointment will not be secured until Intuition has received payment. The deposit will be redeemed against your service on the day of your appointment.
PAYING A DEPOSIT
SELECTED SERVICES ONLY
When booking an appointment that requires a deposit (new client fee), we will email you our booking policy details and your options on how to pay your deposit. Deposits are not an extra charge, it is simply held on your account until your booking and taken off your final bill.
PAYMENT OPTIONSWe currently offer payment via EFTPOS, cash, Paypal, Afterpay and ZipPay. Sorry we do not accept American Express.
CARD CAPTUREFor your convenience, you can save your card with us! The cost of your service, deposits and any products you may want to purchase will be deducted from your chosen card at the end of your service. This speeds up your booking process the next time you book with us, and also allows you to make use of our cardless checkout experience. Your card information is saved securely with TimelyPay’s secure card processing system which complies with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) rules that ensures the accepting, processing or storing of credit card information is done so securely. To save your card, select the box named ‘ Save card for future payments’ when booking your appointment online. This will save your card to Timely and capture your consent for future payments. Restricted access of card information & transaction without client permission procedures are also included.

PRIVACY POLICYIntuition monitors the privacy and confidentiality of personal information and ensures compliance to all relevant legislative and moral requirements by instilling discipline in all aspects of our business. Our objective is to protect and maintain the privacy, and security of your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988. The Privacy Act contains a set of standards for the handling of your personal information known as the National Privacy Principles (NPPs). Personal information collected by Intuition generally comprises name, address, contact details and certain financial information. The National Privacy Principles require Intuition not to store personal information longer than necessary. We are committed to the privacy and protection of your information.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Intuition requires 24hrs notice for any cancellation/rescheduling of any salon bookings. Bookings are scheduled carefully to ensure enough time and space is allowed for your appointment to be carried out as effectively as possible. No shows, late cancellations OR late changes to your appointment with less than 24hrs notice will result in the loss of your deposit or a $50 fee.
We will send you a text reminder to confirm your appointment 72hrs prior to your appointment. This will give you enough time to cancel/reschedule if you need to. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment simply reply to the text or give us a call. No future appointments will be booked if you have an outstanding fee.
ARRIVAL
We do our best to run on time for all of our clients. Please aim to arrive 5–10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Appointments are often booked back-to-back so please be on time out of respect for the client who is scheduled after you. If you are running late, please be aware that we may need to cancel or shorten your appointment. If you miss your appointment or we have had to cancel it due to late arrival you may be charged the $50 cancellation fee.
ADDITIONAL GUESTSWe are more than happy to accommodate babies in prams. We please ask you to respect our space and our clients experience in salon if you must bring an additional guest to your appointment. Due to Queensland’s OH&S laws, all children under the ages of 18 that are not receiving a service in salon MUST remain seated. We work with hazardous chemicals, sharp and hot tools; your child’s safety to us in important.
IN BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS
Our highly trained stylists provide their professional hair, colour and product advice. Please respect their knowledge and suggestions during your appointment. Intuition the Art of Hair cannot guarantee lasting or healthy results unless you are using recommended home haircare purchased from our salon.

RETURN & RESOLVE POLICY
​We want all of our clients to leave Intuition happy and excited about the result of their hair. If you are unhappy with your hair, please let us know immediately prior to leaving the salon. On the rare occasion that you are unhappy with your hair after leaving the salon, we offer a one week Return & Resolve Policy. Please make contact with us by calling the salon 49422177 with the details of your concern. We will then arrange a time for you to return to the salon for a consultation to assess your hair in person. Please do not attend another salon to have any other treatments/colour applied to your hair prior to our team assessing your hair. Once your concerns have been assessed we will offer you the best possible path to resolve your issues.
​SALON POLICIES

Cancellation Policy
We require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. To cancel or
reschedule an appointment, please call the salon on 0435 661 705. If email communication works better for you, please email us at blushedassistant@outlook.com.

We understand that extenuating circumstances happen. In the event of a last-minute
cancellation or a no-show, we have a two-strike policy - see ‘Last-Minute Cancellations
& No-Show Policy’ for details.

At peak times throughout year such as Christmas and Easter seasons (the week leading up to and after), we will enforce our cancellation fee of $50 for cancellations made within 72 hours of the appointment time. We hope that you understand why we have to do this to protect our small business from costly no shows and last minute cancellations. 

Last Minute Cancellations and No Show Policy
A last-minute cancellation refers to any cancellation made within 48 hours of your scheduled
appointment. The first two last-minute cancellations or no-shows are considered warnings.
After the third last-minute cancellation or no-show, you will be required to leave a credit card
on file and will be charged for 100% of the services missed. You will also be required to pay a
100% deposit for future bookings.

Late Policy
If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may not be able to provide the
service for which you have been scheduled. We may need to reschedule your appointment,
and the last-minute cancellation & no-show policy will apply.

Booking Fee Policy
A Booking Fee of $50 OR 50% may be required for colour services that require a consultation, or have a cost of over $200. Booking Fees are 100% refundable if the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with, at minimum, 24 hours notice. Booking Fees are not refundable for last minute (within 24 hours) cancellations and no shows.

*All our colour service prices are listed as a base price that is subject to change in accordance
with the amount of colour product needed to achieve your desired result.

Corrections Policy
We want our clients to be satisfied with the services they receive at Blushed and Beautiful.
If you are ever dissatisfied, please let us know within 7 days of your original appointment by
calling the salon on 0435 661 705. If you would prefer to email us, please
email us at blushedassistant@outlook.com. We value your feedback.

For colour services, the result is best evaluated on fully dried and styled hair. If you elect to
leave the salon before the styling is completed or if you decline any part of your service
(e.g. toning) you relinquish your right to a refund or correction for this colour service.

Product Return Policy
We want to make sure that you are 100% satisfied with the products purchased at
Blushed and Beautiful. If you are unhappy with  a product, return the product within 7 days of
purchase and with at least 75% full, for a full refund or exchange.

We do not cover shipping costs in this instance. If you wish to ship the product back to us, the shipping costs will be at your discretion.

Waitlist Policy
Sometimes our books fill up quickly. If you hope to come in earlier than your next scheduled
appointment, we encourage you to join our waitlist. As openings become available, usually
due to last-minute cancellations, our front desk staff will contact our waitlist and offer
openings on a first-come-first-served basis.

Children at the Salon Policy
We welcome children at our salon, however, our stylists work with sharp objects, hot tools, and
chemicals. We ask that you closely supervise your children and do not leave them unattended
at any time during your visit to ensure their safety and that of our staff.

Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions
Gift vouchers and unused portions of gift vouchers must be spent within 36 months from the date of purchase, which is the "expiry" date included on the gift certificate.    
 
You must inform Blushed and Beautiful when you arrange your appointment if you will be redeeming a gift voucher. Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund.  Blushed and Beautiful will not be held responsible for lost or stolen gift vouchers.


Competitions
Prizes and services are as displayed in the advert or message. We are not able to transfer services for cash.  The prize is only applicable for the actual winner - prize cannot be split amongst others. We are within our rights to cancel or alter the prize inclusions at any time, and without any notice. Prize must be accepted within 1 month of the date drawn.

​BRIDAL AND FORMAL POLICIES
 
Deposit and Retainer
All Bridal and Formal packages will attract a retainer of 25% of the invoice total, payable at the time of date confirmation. This amount is non-refundable for cancellations within two months of the event date. 

Please note that the date is not confirmed until the retainer amount has been paid to Blushed and Beautiful, and confirmed in writing via email, by Blushed and Beautiful.


Payment for Services
Full payment for services is required before the service can commence. The retainer amount will be deducted from the overall cost of your chosen package.

Cancellation Policy
All retainer monies will be forfeited with less than eight weeks notice of cancellation, of the wedding or event date as detailed in the invoice. 50% of the retainer amount will be refunded with less than sixteen weeks notice of cancellation, of the wedding or event date.

Please note that by making a deposit or retainer payment, you are agreeing to all terms and conditions as outlined. We cannot accept changes to any booking with less than eight weeks notice from the date of your wedding or event. If you wish to increase the numbers within the booking, you are able to do this, however please note that we cannot reduce numbers once the deposit or retainer is paid and confirmed.

In the event of rescheduled bookings, Blushed and Beautiful will try to accommodate you with another date if required, providing a notice period of four weeks is given. If less than four weeks notice is given, Blushed and Beautiful is under no obligation to accommodate you with a new booking date. A new deposit or retainer will be required for the new date if you have forfeited the previous deposit or retainer due to timing issues.


Travel Costs
Blushed and Beautiful may charge a travel fee if we are required to travel over 20 kilometres return, from our base. This fee is charged at our discretion.

Travel fees start from a flat rate of $20.00 return. You will be notified of the final travel cost amount on date confirmation.


Public Holidays and before 7am starts
An additional charge of 15% will be charged for all public holiday services, and before 7am starts. This fee is our discretion.

Minimum booking amount
The minimum booking amount of mobile bridal services is $250.00.

Package Inclusions
Package deals are not able to be split between other parties. They are an ‘As Is’ deal, and a deposit must be paid at time of date confirmation.

Makeup Trials
Makeup trials are conducted at the Blushed & Beautiful - Hair and Beauty Lounge located at 1/1 Hogan Street, Ballina. Blushed and Beautiful are happy to accommodate your afterhours requests with prior arrangement.

Non Trial Fee
A Non-Trial fee of $20 may be charged when a makeup trial has not occurred prior to the wedding day. This is to cover the additional time it takes to set colours etc on the day, and is payable at time of deposit.

Disclaimer
I authorise Blushed to administer treatments to me and therefore hold them harmless for any injury or damage that may occur to me. This consent is given in advance and voluntarily by me to aid Blushed in exercising their best judgment on any treatment used on me.

I further understand that if I have any medical conditions, that I should first consult with my physician prior to beginning any program. I understand that the treatment is not a replacement for surgical or medical procedures and that there are no guarantees, implied or otherwise, as to the results or benefits that I may attain from Blushed procedures. It is expressly agreed that the use of this facility is at my sole risk and the salon shall not be liable for any injury or damage to any client or be subject to any claim, demand, injury or damages what so ever without any limitations.
