• Before. Exfoliating your skin the day before removes your dead skin cells, prepping your fresh skin underneath for an even application. Concentrate on dry areas such as elbows and knees to ensure absorption. Ensure you paint your nails before your tan, as polish remover could smudge your spray tan in these areas. Book your wax appointment at least 48 hours before your tan appointment, or shave at least 24 hours beforehand to allow your pores to close. Do not apply any perfumes, deodorants, or creams to your skin before your tan, which may hinder the application.
  
• During. Do not wear any make-up to your appointment as it acts as a barrier, and will leave you with a pale face and neck. Remove all of your rings, watches, and other jewellery, besides getting ruined, they will leave white patches underneath where the tan will not reach. You can wear a bikini or thong, but these will leave tan lines. Don’t be afraid to go topless, we have seen it all before. We will instruct you when to turn and how to stand to yield the best results. A single coat takes 15 minutes, and for a more bronzed finish, a double coat will take approximately 20 minutes. 
  
• After. We advise you to wear dark-coloured, loose-fitting clothes after your treatment to avoid marks or smudging – this includes your shoes. Avoid showering, bathing, swimming, and exercising for at least 10 hours after your appointment to allow your tan to dry completely. Use a moisturiser every day to prolong your tan and promote an even fade.
